Commitment Letter
Kosovo Credit Guarantee Fund – KCGF is pleased to endorse the Women Entrepreneurs Finance Code (hereinafter the “WE Finance Code” or the “Code”), a global initiative aimed at closing financing gaps and removing constraints for women entrepreneurs. We are committed to working in partnership with other stakeholders in Kosovo to provide leadership, improve data and implement concrete actions to advance this agenda.
As a Signatory to the WE Finance Code, KCGF commits to the following under each of the three pillars of the Code:
Leadership Commitment:
- KCGF designate Nora Arifi as a WE Finance Code champion to lead and represent our institution‘s efforts under the Code.
- Foster an inclusive work environment and non-discrimination in recruitment, training, and career development, and by supporting all employees in their professional
- Publish a dedicated section on gender equality in the institution in the KCGF’s Annual report to promote transparency and accountability.
- Promote women entrepreneurs and their success stories as end beneficiaries of KCGF credit guarantees by using client testimonials.
- KCGF will join research with other Registered Financial Institutions on the needs of women and men owned/-led companies among clients to inform more responsive services.
- Promote the institution as a supporter of women’s entrepreneurship and actively promote financing opportunities available for WMSMEs through the Women in Business Window of the Guarantee Fund.
Data Commitments:
- Track the WE Finance Code indicators on the level of financing provided to
- Support the collection of data on the level of financing provided to
- Align the KCGF MIS with the national coalition’s recommended definition of WSMEs for reporting under the WE Finance Code, while maintaining the KCGF own definition for women in business for internal purposes.
- Use data from the WE Finance Code dashboard to inform its decision-making.
Action Commitments:
- Develop and implement non-financial services for women owned/-led companies to strengthen their market presence and
- Organize networking events and provide support for women entrepreneurs in accessing new markets, including conferences and fairs.
- Increase the number of WMSMEs clients benefiting from guarantees under the Women in Business Window.
- Provide training for loan officials of partner financial institutions on the use of credit guarantees and available options under the Women in Business Window.
- Undertake marketing initiatives with Registered Financial Institutions in KCGF to promote loans and guarantee for WMSME through joint campaigns and collaborative posts on social media.
