Pristina, June 30, 2016 – The USAID EMPOWER Credit Support continued organizing one-day workshop for businesses on Access to Finance. The workshops, which are targeted roundtable discussions, were held in Lipjan and Gjilan and covered topics related to Financial Literacy and the role of the KCGF.

The aim of the workshop is to interactively discuss with businesses the options of financing their business, while informing them regarding the Kosovo Credit Guarantee Fund: what is it and how does it function.

In these workshops, enterprises advanced their knowledge on the opportunities for financing their business and were more informed regarding lender requirements and expectations. During the discussion, businesses exchanged experiences identifying challenges in improving their business and getting greater access to finance from lenders. Businesses highly valued the establishment of the credit guarantee fund and see it as an opportunity for growth and sustainability.

EMPOWER Credit Support organized the workshops in cooperation with respective municipalities: (1) Lipjan workshop held on June 10, 2016 and (2) Gjilan workshop held on June 28, 2016.
