PRISTINA, January 19, 2017 – The KCGF Board of Directors has appointed Mr. Besnik Berisha as Managing Director of the Kosovo Credit Guarantee Fund (KCGF), effective from January 23, 2017. He also will serve as an ex-officio member of the Board of Directors.

“We sought a professional who could build upon and advance the credit guarantee fund in Kosovo. Mr. Berisha is committed to KCGF’s core values and mission, and is dedicated to guide the Fund forward,” stated Ed Nolan, the USAID EMPOWER Credit Support Program Chief of Party, who has served as the interim Managing Director of the KCGF since its inception.

Mr. Berisha is a professional with fifteen years of working experience in the banking industry. His significant experience in management, business development, and solid knowledge of credit and operational risk will contribute to strategically develop the Fund. Mr. Berisha was a management board member of ProCredit Bank Albania; he also served in a similar position in Procredit Kosovo. Mr. Berisha holds a Master’s Degree in Business Administration – Financial Management from the University of Ljubljana.
