On 8^th July, we received the sad news for the loss our dear colleague, Alban Kastrati.

Alban has been an integral part of the Kosovo Credit Guarantee Fund (KCGF) since its inception, contributing tirelessly to the consolidation and development of our institution.

His dedication to initiating and developing policies, procedures on risk management has been invaluable, and his contributions over the past nine years have shaped the very foundation of our work.

In his role at KCGF, Alban was responsible for credit and operational risk, consistently demonstrating his deep understanding of the field. He was an accomplished economist with a degree in Bank and Finance and had completed his master’s studies in Business Administration at the University of Ljubljana in Slovenia.

With more than 11 years of experience in the banking sector, he has served in various managerial positions such as Business Loan Allocation Manager, Deputy Director of the Commercial and Corporate Department and Credit Coordinator.

Alban’s unwavering commitment, professional excellence, and warm presence will be profoundly missed by all who had the privilege to work with him. His legacy will continue to inspire us as we move forward.

Albulena is an applied economist with many years of experience. She holds a PhD in Economics from a UK university and has extensive knowledge of evaluation methodologies. Albulena is passionate about econometric modelling and data analysis. Her interest ranges from labour economics, financial sector, gender economics and education. In her work, she has applied various methodologies using cross-section and panel data:  including doubly robust approach – Inverse Probability Weighting – Regression Adjustment, static and dynamic panel data modelling etc. She has also more than ten years of experience in teaching economics subjects.

In KCGF, Albulena is engaged as a consultant/specialist in Monitoring and Evaluation.

Aulona has several years of experience in data analysis and research at the GAP Institute – non-governmental organization and Retail Specialist at BPB ( Banka për Biznes).

Aulona holds a Bachelor in Applied Economics and Management from the University of Prishtina, during her studies she completed a semester in Nysa, Poland. Aulona has also completed trainings in the field of Data Science at Creative Hub Kosovo.

In KCGF Aulona is engaged as a Specialist for reporting and data management.

Besnik has more than 20 years of working experience in the banking sector in Kosovo and Albania. During his professional experience at the bank, he has worked in various managerial positions, mainly focusing on the development of the banking business in the SME sector. Recent positions include member of board, responsible for business development at ProCredit Bank Kosovo and later in ProCredit Bank Albania. Besnik is an expert in banking and has extensive experience with SMEs, challenges and opportunities that these business structures are facing in the market.

In KCGF, Besnik is a Managing Director and member of the Board as ex officio member. Besnik has graduated from the Faculty of Economics in the University of Prishtina, and holds a Master degree in Business Administration – Financial Management of the University of Ljubljana. In addition, in July 2011 he graduated at the ProCredit Academy in Furth, Germany. In 2018 he enrolled in PhD program in Celje Slovenia, in the field of Knowledge Management

Liridona has more than 10 years of work experience in the assurance services sector in Kosovo. She started her professional career at Deloitte Kosova in the audit department to continue her development in audit at EY Kosova. Liridona continued her career at the Society of Accountants and Auditors of Kosovo (ShKCAK/SCAAK) in the Department of Quality Management for Compliance with Standards.

Liridona holds the academic designation of Master in Banking, Finance and Auditing at the University of Pristina, as well as the professional designation Certified Accountant from ShKCAK/SCAAK.

In KCGF Liridona is engaged in the role of specialist for finance.

Burbuqe has long experience in the banking sector. She served in ProCredit Bank in the Credit and Business Support Department mainly in the field of credit administration.

Burbuqe has graduated in the Faculty of Economics at the University of Prishtina, Department of Banking and Finance, while she’s continuing her studies at the Association of Certified Accountants and Auditors of Kosovo.

In KCGF Burbuqe  is responsible for controlling of the Guarantee Portfolio.

Nora has more than 20 years of experience in the banking sector in Kosovo. She served mainly in managerial positions as Head of Product Management, Head of Small Businesses and Agriculture Department, and Branch Manager. She was engaged in many areas related to the banking development, such as preparation of the Business Strategy, Credit Risk Policies and Procedures, contributing to the establishment of the Environmental Unit at her bank as well as other human resources issues, such as recruitment and staff training. She was also engaged as a lecturer at the ProCredit Training Center, the Regional Academy in Veles, and ProCredit Holding in Frankfurt.

In KCGF, Nora is responsible for guarantee portfolio development and relationship with relevant stakeholders.  Nora is an economist with a degree in Management and Informatics, and has completed her Master studies in General International Management.

Vera is Administrative and Language Assistant, with 5 years of experience in the private and independent sector. She has served as Key Account Manager at the private advertising company Advertising Studio D-Line, and before that as a Sector Assistant in the EMPOWER Private Sector / USAID project.

In KCGF, Vera is responsible for execution of administrative work around the office, assistance in organizing events and assisting in translation of internal documentation. Vera holds a Bachelor of Marketing degree from the University of Prishtina.

Vjosa has extensive experience in the banking sector, with a significant experience in banks, finance and accounting. Her responsibilities include drafting financial accounting procedures related to the formation and development of KCGF as well as financial and administrative management of the institution. She holds a Bachelor degree in Banking and Finance, and a Master degree in Finance and Accounting.
